The New Terra Empire has endured over three centuries of civil strife, war and expansion and it has every intention of existing forever more.
The EXO-55 has commenced. The 55th time the Empire has loaded it’s citizens onto a colonising-ship and sent them into the Great Cloud Basin in order to find a new undiscovered planet suitable for human habitation. The EXO is lauded by Imperials as a scientific endeavor of discovery, however the other great powers see it as little more than military reconnaissance and border expansion in what is meant to be a rare peacetime. The United Federation of Earth and the Vezhist Union watch the Empire’s moves, hands on their sabres.
The Great Cloud Basin, a region of independent planet-nations, found itself in the past as a battleground for the Empire and the Vezhist Union. Those independent territories are unwilling to suffer the Empire’s hegemony once again. The 55th EXO will find itself in unfamiliar and unfriendly territories throughout its journey as the crew of the Caladbolg must deal with a region still scarred by war.
